Cappadocia… the Persian name “Kappa Tuchia” which means “The land of beautiful Horses”… Cappadocia offers outstanding landscape, natural beauties, fairy chimneys and rock-cut houses, the picturesque valleys, scenic lunar hills, incredible monuments from the Goreme Open Air Museum to Kaymakli Underground City, Uchisar Castle, Devrent Imagination Valley and Pasabag Monks Valley and more..
Cappadocia is situated in the middle of Turkey, in central Antolia. The region is mostly known by the three popular towns of Goreme, Urgup and Uchisar but actually it is the name of the very big region spread through the cities of Nevsehir, Kirsehir, Nigde, Aksaray and Kayseri.

Tour Plan
We will meet at your hotel lobby in Istanbul and transfer you to airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Take the flight from Istanbul Airport to Cappadocia. Arrival in Cappadocia and meeting at the airport just outside the arrival’s gate with a sign bearing your name then transferred to tour starting point where you will have to meet and depart for your tour.
Goreme Open Air Museum, Devrent Valley, Pasabagi, Avanos
First we visit to Devrent Valley where various types of fairy chimneys are abundant. We will walk through this amazing valley. Thereafter visit Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) with multiple stems and caps, peculiar to this area. After visiting Pasabagi, drive to Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in the Kizilirmak River, the longest river of Turkey. Further to the time for lunch proceed to Goreme Open Air Museum (Dark Church is excluded; entrance requires additional admission fee) to visit the churches, chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy chimneys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with frescos painted on the walls. Thereafter time to take photos in the neighboring valleys before going back to the hotels
Kaymakli Underground City, Rose Valley, Pigeon Valley, Ortahisar Castle
First we visit to Rose Valley, one of the most beautiful trekking valleys in Cappadocia, and explore the famous rock- cut churches by hiking through the valley. Rest in Cavusin, an old Greek village, known for its Christian houses and churches. After having time for lunch visit Ortahısar Castle, similar to Uchisar Castle in style, where storage caves can also be observed. In the afternoon visit Kaymakli (or Ozkonak) Underground City where early Christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit to panoramic Pigeon Valley where pigeons contributed to the lives of locals with their manure to fertilize the vineyards. You may also like to taste Cappadocia wine in a local winery. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Optional Balloon Tour: Flying in a hot air balloon is an amazing and unforgettable experience which you will never forget. Very early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to our balloon site. You will be welcomed with a light breakfast while you are registering for your flight. After meeting at the balloon site you will be watching how we prepare our balloons for your adventure. After getting on the air you will be seeing beautiful sunrise upon Cappadocia. You will be thrilled with the scale of colors and shapes. We will be ascending up to 3000 feet and then almost you will be able touch fairy chimneys. After landing we will celebrate our flight with champagne toast (or soft drink) and your pilot will be presenting your flight certificates. After deflation balloons you will be transported to your launch site and continue to your day.
Derinkuyu Underground City, Ihlara Canyon, Melendiz, Selime Monastery
Your first destination will be to Derinkuyu Underground City, you will be amazed when you see what people from ancient times had done to save their life from invasions, your headway will continue with hiking through Ihlara Canyon, you won’t want it finished, so peaceful in nature, curved into rocks monk cells and old churches will make you “wow” while you’re walking down by the river of Melendiz. Just before you feel tired a superb delicious lunch will be waiting for you just by the river. After the lunch you will be driven to Selime Monasteryone of the most important monastery for the beginning of the Christianity, curved into rocks, enormous architecture genius will make you shocked, taking pictures of so called Star Wars valley on top of the monastery will be so nice. After Selime visit, you will take the road back for 35 minutes; it will be nice to take a nap after such activities. When you open your eyes from the short nap, you will see pigeons everywhere! After pigeon valley visit you will see onyx stone (Volcanic Stone) demonstration.
After the tour we will transfer you to Cappadocia Airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival to airport we will meet again and transfer you to your hotel.
